Giugiaro Design
In 1994, Aldo Cingolani joined Giugiaro Design as the commercial director and head of the Milan office. In 1997, he took on the role of general manager of Giugiaro Design. During his tenure, he oversaw significant projects, including the design of Nikon F4 and F5 cameras, the pendulum train with Fiat Ferroviaria, and the Copenhagen metro with Ansaldo Breda.
In 2003, he inaugurated Giugiaro Architettura, making a valuable contribution to projects of considerable importance. Among them, notable collaborations include working with Norman Foster in 2003 on the design of the Faculty of Law in the Italgas area of Turin and the construction of the pavilion for the 2006 Turin Olympics.
Bertone Design
In 2013, together with Lilli Bertone, Aldo Cingolani co-founded Bertone Design, a company later to become an integral part of Bertone Design Group. Notable projects include the Frecciarossa Mille, TRM in Turin, Lotte Hotel in Samara, and the showroom for Graniti Fiandre in Castellarano. In 2020, the Cingolani family’s holding company (Gruppo Italiano Progetti) acquired 100% of New Crazy Colors, collaborating to develop projects in the luxury retail sector for prestigious brands such as Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Louis Vuitton, Dior, and Moncler.
Bertone Design Group
In 2022, the merger between Bertone Design and New Crazy Colors gave rise to a single entity called Bertone Design Group.
Aldo Cingolani plays an active role in the field of education. In 2010, he co-founded the Master Design for Architecture program in collaboration with Poli.Design in Milan, a program that now boasts its thirteenth edition. He has also lectured at Tongji University in Shanghai and Tianjin University, and is a member of the Board of Directors at the University of Skopje. His experience in the educational sector also includes participating as a speaker at international conferences.
